Founded in 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Charter Wire has grown from an early pioneer in cold rolled steel manufacturing technology into a global leader. Today, Charter Wire is a major supplier of precision wire products to manufacturers around the world. Our standard cold finished steel bars and custom cold rolled steel shapes and wire profiles are integral components in thousands of manufactured products.
Charter Wire LLC is a member of the privately held Charter Manufacturing family of companies, with whom we are vertically integrated to provide best-in-class support, service and turn-around times for our customers.

As a fully integrated steelmaker with locations in Ohio and Wisconsin, Charter Steel offers a full range of grade and size coiled products and vast technical service experience.
Focused on continuous cast iron bar products and comprised of two business units. Dura-Bar is the world’s largest producer of continuous cast iron bar products with headquarters in Illinois and a distribution center in China. Dura-Bar Metal Services is Dura-Bar's largest distributor, serving over 3,000 global customers, from locations in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
A tier-1 automotive supplier of engineered valve train and transmission components. Charter Automotive has an engineering based sales process and has a global manufacturing footprint with locations in Wisconsin, the United Kingdom, and China.
